The irradiator is of advantages of high automatization, great universality, and large capacity. The irradiator is controlled by computer for the whole processing and it has been running safely and effectively for almost 20 years.

The design capacity of cobalt-60 γ-ray irradiator for Guangming plant is 148PBq (4mllion curie). With multi-channel and automatic layer-transforming technique, it is hence the latest international cobarlt-60 irradiator nowadays.
